This Privacy Policy explains how Twin Studios handles information for Torebia: Island Odyssey, the Torebia website, and related playtests.

Information We Collect

• Website newsletter: if you subscribe, we collect the email address you provide through our newsletter provider.
• Game account and authentication data: Steam ID, Steam display name, Steam authentication result, account status, and moderation status such as bans.
• Gameplay data: character names, character progression, inventory, quests, economy and vending activity, parties, combat, world state, and other data needed to run the online game.
• Messages and moderation data: chat, admin actions, logs, and security events may be processed to operate and protect the game.
• Analytics data: if enabled, we use GameAnalytics to understand gameplay and technical performance. This may include session data, device and OS information, approximate location from IP address, generated analytics identifiers, and gameplay events such as server connection, world entry, character creation, and quest completion.
• Local settings: the game stores preferences such as graphics, audio, controls, UI choices, and analytics opt-out status on your device.

How We Use Information

We use this information to operate the game, authenticate players, save progression, provide multiplayer features, prevent abuse, respond to issues, improve performance, and send newsletter updates if you subscribed.

Third-Party Services

We use Steam for authentication and store features, GameAnalytics for analytics, and a newsletter provider for email subscriptions. If you click links to Discord, YouTube, Ko-fi, Steam, or other external services, their own privacy policies apply.

We do not sell personal information.

GameAnalytics processes analytics data on our behalf. You can review their information at GameAnalytics Privacy Notice and GameAnalytics Developer Policy.

Your Choices

• You can disable GameAnalytics event submission in the in-game privacy settings.
• You can unsubscribe from newsletter emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails.
• You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data where applicable law provides those rights.

Retention

We keep game account, progression, moderation, and server records for as long as needed to operate Torebia, protect the service, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Analytics data is retained according to GameAnalytics settings and policies.

Children

Torebia is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review it.
